A SEATTLE BACKYARD COTTAGE

The Belvidere Haus is a custom backyard cottage in the West Seattle neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. A complete renovation of an old two car garage began as a concept created by Joe and Kim in 2015. The concept was to create a bright and stunning dwelling that feels much larger than it's size, all while working within the outside dimensions of the original structure. Construction began in 2016 and was completed in 2017. The main floor plan with storage loft measures 600 sq ft.

The cottage boasts 12' vaulted ceilings in the living space and bedroom. Two large privacy glass sliders and five skylights filter radiant natural light into the home. You will find a marriage of classic and modern touches throughout the home, such as the Putnum Rolling Ladder attached to a salvaged beam leading to the loft.

The handsome barn door, wood wrapped peninsula, bathroom vanity and kitchen selves were all handcrafted from salvaged timbers.

The open kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, luxurious quartz countertops, counter-to-ceiling subway tile backsplash and a rustic farmhouse sink.

The Belvidere Haus is the perfect West Seattle retreat just a short water-taxi, bus, bike or car ride from downtown Seattle. Its ideal location is centrally located - just blocks from the Junction, Admiral District and Alki Beach so you can walk or bike anywhere you need!
